This week we drove to the Auckland zoo on a bus for a Zoofari. We slept in the old elephant house and when we went on the night walk we could still see. There are so many lights on during the night in Auckland that it never gets very dark.

I am working on an animal report about otters and I saw two. They were bigger than I thought they would be.

This year my class and I have been doing Kiwi Kids News. It's when you go onto the Kiwi Kids News website and you pick an article of our choice and then read that article. But when we finished reading this article we paste the questions into the slide that we made and we had to answer them in full sentences. So here is an article I did.

My basic facts progress!!!!

Here is my basic facts progress for this year. In Term 1 I was working on Stage 5 and I got a score of 56/60. In Term 2, my basic facts score for Stage 5 was 58/60 so my teachers said I was ready for Stage 6. So, I did the Stage 6 test and got 18/40. There is some hard stuff on Stage 6 but I’m lucky because we have some expert kids in Team Moana who can help us.

Last term we did a learning journey where we record our improvement of work we did. This term we had to do the same thing. I think that I really improved on everything.

Getting ready for Fun Friday!!!!!

Today is Fun Friday which is a day where we play fun games and fun raise. My team Tody, Dulcie, Magic, Cassidy and I are doing an activity named 'Back your butt up'. Its basically a game where you have a sock filled with sand tied around your waist and hanging from your butt and then you have to try and knock down cones. But we twisted it up a little.

Animal Onesie day

Today we had an animal onesie day because we are fundraising for the year 1 and 2 zoo trip. Our group were dressed up as Zebras. Zebras are members of the horse family. They are mammals.
