Maui

Kia Ora. I'm Amethyst and for witting I've learnt about Maui the mythical hero. We had to do a introduction,Three reasons and a conclusion for the end. Please read and enjoy.



TITLE: Maui - A Great Mythical Hero.

Name:Amethyst

Introduction: I believe that Maui is a great mythical hero.

Reason 1: Firstly, I think that Maui’s a great mythical hero because he was strong enough to pull down the sun so we could have more daylight.

Reason 2: My next reason is that he was brave enough to take a little bit of fire from the underground to keep us warm.

Reason 3: My final reason is that he was a great leader to his 4 brothers, but his brothers didn't appreciate his work, because they always argued with him.

Conclusion:I honestly  believe that Maui’s a great mythical hero because he was strong enough to pull down the sun, he was brave enough to take fire from the underground and lastly he was a great leader to his 4 brothers even though his brothers didn’t agree.

My Numeracy Knowledge 2.

Hello. We have been doing some maths assessments. Here is my result for Stage 5 place value. numbers.

I got 6/8 of the learning outcomes. I need to work on groupings of 10s in a 3 digit number and rounding 3 digit numbers to the nearest 10.

Minotaur

Kia ora. We have been learning about the Minotaurs and the kings.King Minos and king of Atheans. We had to pretend that were the king of Atheans and we had to send a letter to king Minos because he gave the minotaur a treat and that treat was youths/little boys. Here is my little note I did for king Minos I hope you like it.

Dear King Minos,

I am writing to you about the fate of the nine doomed youths.  I plead for their release on the grounds that:

Firstly what did they do to make you kill the poor young youths? It wasn’t them who killed your son.

My second reason is if you were the youths how would you feel if you got eaten/ripped apart from a wild beast.

My last reason is that if you keep killing you know that it won’t bring back your son and I think your son’s thinking “Stop killing.”  So please stop killing the youths

I think you might agree to let them free from your pet beast the minotaur and that no one can be eaten again.

My Stage 5 Learning Ladder.

This week we started making our learning ladder about Stage 5 numeracy knowledge. Here are my results so far. The Gold for glory shows what I know and the Blue to do is what I don’t know yet.

The story of Ganesha

 This year we are learning about myths and legends.Our theme is Learn from a Myth become a Legend.We had to explain the different's between a myth and a legend.I choose the story of Ganesha.

Mountain to the sea drawing

All last term we have been learning about the mountain to the sea.This term we had to do a google drawing to show all of our work.We had to do information about the sea the mountain and the river and one question of anything that involved mountain to the sea.this is my google drawing of my mountain to the sea.

Geometry portfolio

On Tuesday in maths we had to do a geometry portfolio sample.We had to type how many faces,Edges and corners 3D shapes have & we had to type the names of 2D shapes. Lastly we had to type down the coordinates of where the objects are and where you end up by following the coordinates.
