Yesterday Team Moana wrote an explanation writing on how everyone can cope with environmental problems. I wrote about environment pollution!

Environment is a word relating the earth and nature. But sometimes the environment has some problems, Problem is a word relating to a situation that may involve harmful words and pollution which is what the earth has. One of the problems that the environment has is “environmental pollution ” (Land pollution). Here are 3 ways on how to help with this type pollution My reasons are as followed: Firstly, Recycle. Anything thats can be used again such as: water bottles,boxes,containers etc you should keep. If you recycle it can cause less pollution and all our animals will be plastic free. Secondly, Cleaning up your environment. Everytime you go for a walk or jog you will see some pieces right?. If you see a piece of rubbish and a nearby rubbish bin,pick it up and put it in the bin. Not only does this help the environment but it makes your country look a little bit better. Finally, Try eating food with no rappers / plastic. Most food with rappers are either: chocolate bars, energy bars, chips,cookies etc. This doesn’t only affect our environment but it’s a unhealthy diet. So, instead of eating junk food you can eat healthy food like your fruits and vegetables. This will not increase the earth to a healthy lifestyle but your health will be involved as well. This Friday is Greats and Grands day, We had to write an explanation on an aging problem our grandparents had and how they could fix it. 

Here is my work below:

Understanding an explanation.

Beginning	Title Copy your explanation title here.	How Grandparents Cope with Weak Eyesight.
	1st paragraph Define and describe what you are explaining.	A grandparent is a person who is old enough for their baby to have a baby. When people start to get old different parts of their bodies start to get worn out and they can no longer do what they could do before. This is called aging and it causes many problems. One aging problem that a grandparent may have to deal with is weak eyesight.

Middle	2nd paragraph Write about one thing you can do to cope with weak eyesight.	One thing that a grandparent can do to cope with eyesight loss  is to make sure that they wear clear glasses at all times. This can help you see the world clearly instead of everything being blurry.
	3rd paragraph Write about a second thing you can do to cope with weak eyesight	Another thing to do is get a guide dog.  A guide dog can do so much more than your normal eyes. It is very helpful and will lead you the way to the shops and back.
	4th paragraph Write about a third thing you can do to cope with weak eyesight	One last thing you could do is make sure all devices you have like Phones, Laptops, TV’s etc to good quality and a bigger words so that you can see what people are saying clearly.
End	5th paragraph Wind up your writing.	Weak eyesight can be a difficult aging problem for grandparents to deal with but people are hopeful that improvements in technology will be  a big help for this in the future.

It has been a while but I would like to tell you what Team moana has been up to for the past 3 weeks. Team Moana had to write personal recount (ski trip diary) about everything we did during our school ski trip to National Park in September 2018. It was a blast!

The holidays

I absolutely LOVED MY HOLIDAYS! For the first week of the holidays I went to Auckland and explored a lot of places like the zoo, cinemas, downtown plus I saw an amazing slingshot or what Auckland called it the "sky scream" it was AMAZING. I could hardly describe how adventurous it was. But now I'm back at school, not so excited but with a fresh mind. But the cool thing is I got to see my friends again.
